RAIN

Why does it rain?
Perhaps, for the earth’s pain!
She has withered under Sun’s strokes
And suffocated by the chimneys’ smoke.

She runs through the breathless space,
Sweaty, thirsty - moisture has left no trace.
Apathetic, some nonchalant,
Forgot to water the plant.
Why do the clouds burst?
Perhaps to quench their thirst.

The skyscrapers have covered the sky,
Stealing light from the passers by.
Why does the lightning strike?
Perhaps, for a moments light!

MY ROLE MODEL

Guess guess guess, who is the one,
With whom I get a lot of fun.
Like him no one ever came to earth,
‘Time' lost its constancy after his birth.
A man who kept shut his beak, but
In front of him, everyone was meek.

Look at some characteristics,
Of a teacher, never used sticks.

His head quite broad
But mightier than the sword.
Negligent a little,
Forgot where he used to settle.
Behaved strange with his wife, which is rare,
Saying “excuse me I have seen you somewhere”.

Much being a critic,
Mind the works of that hectic.
‘Theory of relativity’ was his first achievement,
Saying ‘speed of light is always constant’.
Photoelectric effect earned him a Nobel Prize,
Which I consider for me in disguise.

Worked as a patent clerk,
Faced throughout his life many jerks.
Scientist for others, mentor of mine,
He is my role model, Albert Einstein.
