I AM MY

My life was pleasant
When I was a child,
But becoming a teenager
It became very mild.

When I entered the hostel,
I was an innocent boy
Didn’t care for anyone
And I was my.

I made many friends
As I was expert
But got cheated many a times
That was its result.

Amidst them
I found someone
Who cared me
Unlike anyone.

I considered him the best
And adjusted him in my nest
That time I wasn’t my
Slowly I converted into a toy.

Toy! Yes toy
With whom he played
Used when needed
Otherwise……, can’t be conveyed.

“Just don’t talk to me”
Was the result of my faith
And I just couldn't choose
Either life or death.

Years passed away,
Just like clouds in the sky
But he never came to ask
That how was I.

Darkness wiped away
As I met some comrades at a halt,
They boarded on my train
To help me as they told.

I checked them, whether
They were correct
Learning from my past, so that
I must not repent.

As per my test
I found them right
And signed together a treaty
Of never to fight.

I was totally dedicated to my friends
Till papa awoke me
“Be selfish in this world “
Said he confusing me.

‘Selfish!’ hearing this
I was amazed.
But got consoled
When I was explained.

“you have came alone
On this earth
It’s difficult, but try
To control your heart.

Don’t dive in friendship
So much deep,
That you forget from where
You took the leap.

Don’t think that your friend
Will be always with you,
Believe me, as it has
Happened with me too.

Life is a race in which
Everyone participates,
To become renowned
In his habitat.

In the middle
If it happens that you fall
And raise your hand
For someone to hold,

No friend will be there
To ask whether you are fine
Rather you’ll find him
 On the finishing line.

That’s the time,
When you’ll realize
That what you have done
Throughout your life”

Hearing this
I got stunned
That where I was
 And where I turned.

“It’s not too late
 You’ve time
Become cautious
 And make your life shine”

‘Yes, he is right’
That’s what I thought
 And made my heart hard
as I was taught.

Without caring for anyone,
 I travelled by.
And this time it again happened
That I was my.
